Assessment Services

There are three main types of assessments available and they each address specific concerns, guide accurate diagnoses, and inform personalized recommendations for effective support across different settings and allow for targeted intervention or treatment plans.

Psychoeducational

Understand your child/youth’s learning strengths and areas of weakness, along with recommendations (home, school, community) to support with academic progress. May focus specifically on assessing for giftedness, as requested.

Comprehensive

Well-rounded understanding your child/youth’s strengths and needs, including cognitive, behavioural, social, emotional, and academic/learning functioning.

Mental Health or Psychological

Evaluation of the individual’s emotional, behavioural, and psychological well-being to identify the specific nature of their difficulties, inform potential diagnoses, and guide the development of a treatment plan
